Answers to common questions for peace of mind
What is a snagging inspection?
A snagging inspection is a detailed inspection of a new home which identifies defects or issues that don't meet the required standard. This report is passed onto the homeowner who can then forward it to the builder to arrange for these issues to be resolved.
Why is it so important to have my new home snagged ?
Snag surveys are important because defects and issues that are not identified and repaired to industry standards prior to handover can end up costing the homeowner financially in the long term.
Do you offer discounts for multiple homes in the same area?
Yes. We highly encourage neighbours to team up. If you book your survey alongside others in your development we offer a Block Booking Discount to make our expert service even more affordable. It's our way of helping the whole community start on the right foot. You get the same meticulous 3- hour inspection, the same financial protection, but at a reduced rate.
What areas do you cover?
We generally cover the Leinster region and surrounding counties.
How long does a snagging inspection take?
A thorough inspection of your new home can take up to 3 hours, depending on the size of the property and most importantly how well the property is finished. We don't believe in rushing, every minute we spend on-site is an investment in your financial protection.
How soon after completion of the inspection will I receive the report?
We will send the inspection report within 24 hours of completion.
Do you do follow up inspections?
Yes, we can do follow up inspections to ensure that the necessary works have been completed according to industry standards.
Will the builder accept your report?
In most cases the builder will accept an independent report. Our stance at Prime Snag Solutions is to work in conjunction with the builder to ensure that your new home is finished to industry standards.
Are you affiliated with any builders or developers?
No. We operate completely independent of any builders or developers. Our only priority is our client (The Homeowner) and ensuring that your new home is finished to the highest standard.
